What does it cost me?
Nothing. coup is free for businesses to join — no commissions, no fees or anything else. What you put in is the deal you offer, and that stays yours to decide.
What do I actually have to do?
You put up a deal. It appears on the map and users in the city see your offers. They walk in, show a QR code, you scan it. That is the whole loop.
Do I need new hardware or software?
No. A phone to scan the user’s QR code and a computer to access the website to create discount offers. That’s all. No additional hardware that you do not already own.
What do members get out of redeeming a deal?
The discount itself is free for them. On top of that, every redemption pays them a Payback token they can only spend inside coup — on what other users put up. That is why a discount here tends to bring users back.
Is this crypto?
No. No blockchain, nothing to speculate on. coup tokens cannot be bought, cashed out or traded. They only count what someone has put into the community.
My city is not on coup yet — can I still sign up?
Yes, and that is the better moment. coup opens city by city, and the places that are already there when a city goes live are the ones its first members find. Tell us where you are and we will come back to you about opening yours.
